Sounding Board is an exciting, revolutionary product that adds the
power of sound and voice to your PC. Whether you're working within DOS,
Windows or a networking environment, you can record and play any
sound you want. All you have to do is pick up the telephone handset
provided -- or connect stereo equipment directly to Sounding Board's
audio in and out jacks -- bring up the handy on-screen menu, and start
making noise!
But there's much more to Sounding Board than "record" and "play."
When used within a LAN environment, it allows you to add voice to your
PC communications. So you can talk it over. Sound off. Speak your mind.
Which is much faster than typing. Which saves you time and money.
Winner of PC Magazine's 1990 Technical Excellence award, the
Artisoft Sounding Board adapter comes with everything you need to speak
and be heard. A telephone-style handset provides stunning clarity and
sound pickup. SoundPUP software, included for both DOS and Windows,
records, stores and replays in a snap. And audio in-and-out jacks connect
to external sound components like CD players, tape recorders and
amplifiers.
Sounding Board digitizes sound, preserving it in nearly its original
fidelity. And with SoundPUP, you can use your Sounding Board right out
of the box to dictate documents or record messages, save them to disk
files and then share them with other Sounding Board users -- all in your
own voice!
Better yet, SoundPUP lets you add sound capabilities to any software
that supports OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) for Windows or that
can issue command lines to DOS. So you can use Sounding Board to
provide narration in multimedia presentations, annotate documents with
voice messages, provide high-quality digital dictation over a LAN and add
voice functions to existing software. And because it works in the
background, it won't tie up your computer.
The Artisoft Sounding Board adapter is available for standard bus
(ISA) and Micro Channel compatibles.
